He spoke at the meeting held with the delegation of book publishers om June 3.
The delegation bought to the notice of the CM that the situation of Kannada publishers and writers was pathetic. They informed that the cess amount of Rs. 600 crore is pending with the BBMP. A cess of 6 % is collected through libraries which is supposed to be transferred to the library head of account.
Representatives of Sapna Book House, Nirantara Prakashana, Geethanjali Prakashana and other publications were present in the delegation.
