Bengaluru: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a drop in maximum and minimum temperatures over the next two days due to the presence of low pressure over Comorin Bay.
According to the officials, there was a depression over Sri Lanka two days ago and it has now changed to a well-marked low-pressure area. As a result, the highest temperature is currently at 27 degrees Celsius, lower than the last week’s temperatures of 29 to 30 degrees Celsius over south interior Karnataka. They stated that the system was the cause of the cloudy skies.
Further, they said that the summer’s maximum temperature will be approximately 37 degrees Celsius. They added that it was too early to forecast if the summer heat will be above normal, as there were little or no biting cold winter chills. The authorities stated that from the end of February till April, thundershowers were not completely ruled out.
