Bengaluru man found murdered 300 km away after financial dispute with friends
A 25-year-old man, Akhilesh, who went missing from Madanayakanahalli in northern Bengaluru on October 19, was tragically found murdered a week later in Kudligi, approximately 300 kilometers away. His body was discovered on October 25 by the Vijayanagar district police, who had launched an investigation following a missing person’s report filed by Akhilesh’s friend.
The case took a major turn in late November when the Kudligi police arrested six suspects, all of whom were Akhilesh’s friends—Roshan, Ganesh, Nagesh, Nanda Kumar, Manu Kumar, and Mohammad Asmaan. The Madanayakanahalli police have since taken custody of the suspects since the murder took place in Bengaluru.
According to a senior officer involved in the investigation, the motive behind the crime was a financial dispute. Akhilesh had borrowed ₹3,500 from one of his friends and failed to repay the debt. On the evening of October 19, the six men invited Akhilesh for a drink, but a heated argument broke out. During the confrontation, Akhilesh was brutally beaten to death by the group. Afterward, the suspects loaded his body into a car and drove to Kudligi, where they disposed of it.
The case highlights the tragic consequences of unresolved personal conflicts and the devastating impact of violence in moments of anger.
