Bengaluru: Man threatening IAS officer arrested

Bengaluru: A man, who posed as Karnataka Excise Minister K. Gopalaiah’s Personal Secretary and threatened IAS officer Munish Moudgil for transferring his driver has been arrested on Sunday July 10.

The arrested man has been identified as Govindaraju T. ,(58), a resident of Mahalakshmi Layout and the transferred driver is Govindaraju’s son-in-law. It is learnt that he had threat called Moudgil as his daughter was upset with her husband’s transfer.

Munish Moudgil, the Commissioner of the Survey Settlement and Land Records Department had lodged a complaint with Sampigehalli Police in the City. He stated that he received a call on July 1 from a man saying that he was Gopalaiah’s Personal Secretary, and threatened him for transferring Anand, his driver.
