Bengaluru: After many delays, the Mysuru-Bengaluru 10-lane road work will begin on January 8.
A decision in this regard was taken in a progress review meeting of the National Highway Authority (NHAI) held in the city.
Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy chaired the review meeting.
NHAI authorities informed that around 80% of the land acquisition work has been completed for the project. “The remaining land acquisition process is also in the final stage,” they informed.
If sources in the NHAI are to be believed, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to lay the foundation stone for the expansion work. “It is a key project in the old Mysuru region. As the 2019 general elections are around the corner, PM Modi is expected to attend the event,” informed an officer after the meeting.
At the meeting, various upcoming and stalled projects across the state were also discussed. CM HDK directed the authorities to complete all the projects on time.
