Bengaluru: Uday Gowda, a businessman from Maddur in Mandya District has joined the Congress. He is known as brain behind fall of JD (S) – Congress Coalition Government led by Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy in 2019.
He is likely to get Congress ticket from Maddur. He was welcomed and received by Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President D. K. Shivakumar.
Speaking on the occasion Shivakumar said defection is common during election time. Such defections are being reported in all parties.
