Uppittu: South Indian healthy breakfast

Karnataka Style Rava Uppittu or Rava Upuma Recipe Rava Uppittu or Rava Upuma is a very popular South Indian breakfast a very common and simple breakfast.

It is popularly known as Uppittu or Upuma in every household in Karnataka. Uppittu or Upuma is prepared using fine semolina or coarse semolina or rice semolina. Dry roasted semolina is cooked as a thick porridge as a breakfast dish. Prepared with various spices and mixed with vegetables and garnished with cashews and peanuts.

Uppittu is a healthy breakfast or filling breakfast food. It is a one-dish meal with lots of vegetables added. It is a very nutritious dish because of the variety of vegetables added to it. Onion, carrot, peas, potato, tomato, capsicum etc are added to it.

*Uppitu is prepared using semolina and it is full of iron.

*Uppitu has fibre, vitamins, and healthy fats.
