Bengaluru: Eyeing the 2023 State Assembly election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the State frequently in the coming weeks. In November and December, he will visit the State twice.
According to the BJP sources, the first visit will be for the unveiling of the statue of Kempegowda at the BIAL, Bengaluru. BJP is carrying out a Ratha yatra across the State to collect the soil for this event. The idea is to strengthen the party in the Vokkaliga-dominated areas.
In December, PM will visit Shivamogga and Uttara Kannada districts where the party is facing the onslaught of Congress.
According to sources, PM is likely to visit Udupi also in December and hold a mammoth rally.
According to the party sources, BJP is planning to change 40 per cent of the sitting MLAs and give tickets to new faces.
