Bengaluru: Syed Mubarak handed to judicial custody
Bengaluru police have booked Syed Mubarak, 31, also known as Mubarak or Mubbi, under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PITNDPS) Act and handed him over to the judicial custody of Bengaluru Central Prison for one year’s detention.
According to police records, Mubarak is an alleged habitual drug peddler who was first arrested in 2018.

Mubarak has been implicated in six drug peddling cases involving a total of 1,500kg of ganja. In addition to narcotics charges, he also faces an attempted murder case.
Police sources stated that he had been evading arrest for some time, prompting courts to issue non-bailable warrants against him.
