Bengaluru police give ‘Game Of Thrones’ twist to road safety campaign

Bengaluru: The innovative means adopted by Bengaluru police on road safety campaign has been applauded once again by the people and its Facebook post has received over 10,000 likes already.

The Bengaluru City Police recently launched a road safety campaign giving popular American Series “Game Of Thrones” reference to it. In the two posts on social media, the police department bade goodbye to age-old boring quotes and brought in Game Of Thrones twist for its road safety campaign, especially by adding on that Jon Snow’s helmet belongs to the Targaryens.

The move has won accolades from GoT fans who quickly noticed the unique initiative on Twitter. When tweeple pointed out that Jon Snow’s helmet belongs to the Targaryens, it gave rise to many conspiracy theories and the Bengaluru City Police tweeted ‘Spoiler Alert’ in response. The posts have collected over 10,000 likes and counting.

One Twitter user commented saying, “”Police and Humor!! Hats off BTP. You nailed it with this post.”

It is not the first time that the Bengaluru police have been praised by the people for their creative use of social media to create awareness among citizens on various issues. It may be recalled that recently the Mumbai Police too were in news after they used “Friends” references in their campaign against cyber-crimes.
