Bengaluru: State health department has directed all the hospitals of the state, including private ones to behave in a cordial manner while dealing with accident victims and their relatives.
In a circular issued by Shalini Rajaneesh, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare department, the hospital authorities are directed to follow all the legal procedures while treating the victims, including help to lodge police complaint with all the documents.
This order has been issued following the death of a boy in Anekal government hospital in Bengaluru on April 30. It was alleged that hospital authorities had behaved rudely besides not providing ambulance to carry the dead body of the victim.
This had forced the parents to carry their son’s body in a scooter which led to a massive outcry.
Following this, the state government suspended two doctors of the hospital holding them responsible for the incident.
