NOSH, a tech company based in Bengaluru, has introduced a new cooking robot priced at ₹73,000, designed to revolutionize home cooking. This robot aims to automate essential cooking tasks while maintaining the authenticity of Indian recipes. It is equipped with a dual-compartment container for oil and water, an eight-slot tray for spices, and a five-compartment section for prepped ingredients.

The robot syncs with an app that guides users through recipes, menu planning, and preference settings. Once the ingredients are loaded, users can simply command the robot to begin cooking, making it an appealing option for busy households looking for convenience.

However, responses on social media have been divided. While some users are intrigued by the robot’s potential, others are skeptical about its functionality. A few pointed out the lack of real-time seasoning adjustments, with one user saying, “We add spices based on taste, but this robot doesn’t allow for that.” Others questioned the steep price tag, suggesting it would attract more buyers if priced under ₹50,000.

There were also concerns about the absence of a chopping function, with some suggesting that the most challenging aspect of cooking is preparing vegetables. Hygiene issues were raised too, with worries about bacteria or mold forming in the robot’s compartments.

Some users proposed regional-specific models, such as a more affordable version tailored to South Indian dishes like sambar or rasam, costing below ₹25,000.
