Bengaluru: Techies kill elderly man over music issue

Bengaluru: Three techies, including brothers, who allegedly assaulted and murdered an elderly man for telling him to reduce the music sound, have been arrested by the HAL Police.

Basudev Samant Roy, his brother Abhishek Singh and his friend Anirudh, all residents of Vigyan Nagar, have been arrested. The deceased was elderly Loyd Nemayya. All the three accused are working as software engineers in a reputed company in the City. The brothers lived in a rented house next to Nemayya’s house in Vigyan Nagar. Last weekend, at around 4.30 am on April 2, the brothers invites their friends, including Anirudh, to their home and playing loud music sound in their car. During the time, a neighbour, Loyd Nemayya, asked them to reduce the sound. A fight broke out between the two over the issue.

When the fight escalated, the two brothers caught hold of Loyd and dragged him away and brutally assaulted him. Nemayya, who was seriously injured, was rushed to a hospital by locals. However, Nemayya died without responding to treatment.

Following this, the HAL police arrested two of the accused brothers. Anirudh, who had committed the crime with them, was taken into custody in Delhi and arrested
