A video capturing a man performing a dangerous stunt on a national highway in Bengaluru has gone viral on social media, prompting swift action from the police. The 21-second clip depicts a man on his two-wheeler executing the stunt while being recorded by two other individuals riding another vehicle. Uploaded on Thursday by user “ThirdEye,” the video ignited discussions about the pressing issue of road safety, exacerbated by individuals attempting risky stunts on busy roads.

According to the user, the incident occurred around 10 am on March 13, 2024, on the Hosur National Highway. The man performing the stunt was reportedly riding a vehicle without a number plate. The user urged the Bengaluru Traffic Police to investigate the matter and take appropriate action.

In response to the user’s post, the Bengaluru Traffic Police assessed the video and directed the Anekal Police Station to conduct a thorough investigation. Since its circulation, the video has garnered significant attention on social media, with many expressing concerns about road safety in Bengaluru.

Several users highlighted the prevalence of such risky behaviors, cautioning others to stay vigilant. One user remarked, “These kind of gangs operate across Blore. Same age groups, similar vehicles, same process. More on weekends. Beware and stay away.”

Others called for strict repercussions, with one individual suggesting, “Award him with a cane,” while another stated, “At this point, anyone without a number plate or altered number plate should be considered a possible criminal.”

The alarming trend of dangerous stunts on highways has prompted widespread condemnation, with one user suggesting, “They should try their luck in the circus, not here.”
