Bengaluru:BJP candidates list for the Lok Sabha election is expected to be announced by Tuesday evening. According to the sources close to party state unit president BS Yeddyurappa, PM Narendra Modi and Party national president Amit Shah are expected to finalise the candidates’ list by evening and approve it.
“BSY is meeting both the leaders in the evening. If there are no objections for his list, both the national leaders are expected to approve it immediately. If they are changes then the list may be announced by Tuesday noon,” said a leader.
The sources in BJP house say that the void created by demise of leader Ananth Kumar is being felt by the party. With absence of Ananth Kumar, there is no one resisting the choices made by BSY, it is said.
Though many see R Ashok taking place of Ananth Kumar, sources say that Ashok is tactically poor.
No candidate for Mandya: A section of BJP leaders ensured that party will not put its candidates in Mandya. The idea is forcing the CM to stay back at Mandya for his son and weakening the alliance candidates. But central leadership is still in dilemm over this.
