Bengaluru:The state Pre Education Department has made it clear that there will not be any grace marks for the II PUC final examination biology question paper. It can be recalled that immediately after the examination the students had said that the question paper carried several out of syllabus questions. They had claimed the paper was extremely tough.
Speaking to the reporters, PU department director PC Jafer informed that all the questions asked in biology were well with in the syllabus. If the students had read the textbook, they would have performed better. Those who read guides anf question banks are saying that the examination was tough,” he said.
They were subject knowledge-based. Others were skill based questions. No out of the syllabus questions were asked. So there is no question of grace marks, he said.
“An average student can score 50 out of 70,” he said.
He also stated that the coding-de-coding exercise of the answer sheet bundles will be taken up from May 21.
It can be recalled that the II PUC final examination was concluded on Monday. This year there was not even a single complaint of question paper leak.
