Bengaluru: BJP National President Amit Shah is all set to visit Karnataka next month, keeping the upcoming Assembly polls in mind.
As per sources, Shah is expected to embark on 90 day national tour and is expected to stay in Karnataka for three days. During his visit to Karnataka, he is expected to deliberate with the state leaders on lines of preparing the party to face the elections, format of campaigning and various other aspects connected to the Assembly polls.
However, the dates of Shah’s visit have not been finalised.
Karnataka will be an important state for the BJP because the national party, which has been planting its victory flag on unexpected terrains has tasted defeat in the recent by-polls in Nanjangudu and Gundlupet. The by-polls in Karnataka were considered as prelude to the upcoming Assembly polls and with massive defeat here, the BJP has been on introspection mode.
As per party insiders, Shah will press for unity among the party leaders and also hold talks with leaders individually.
