Bengaluru: City Commissioner of Police Bhaskar Rao has appealed to the online, e-commerce food, medicine, groceries and animal proucts delivery aggregators to come for a meeting at his office on Wednesday, March 25.

The Bengaluru CoP has called for the meeting at 7 PM and has asked that one representative from each agency to participate.

“I have called a meeting of online, e-commerce food, medicine, groceries, vegetables/fruits or animal products delivery aggregators today at 7 pm at my office at Infantry Road, Bengaluru,” Rao said, assuring tthat the police department would cooperate with them.

It can be recalled that on Tuesday, March 24, at around 8 PM, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the whole country will be put on a 21-day lockdown, allowing only essential services, in view of the rapid spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

People flocked grocery stores and other shops to buy necessary items. As many have not been taking the lockdown seriously, many districts in the state have said that no one would be allowed to leave their homes and that essential items like vegetables etc. would be delivered to people’s doorsteps.
