Bengaluru: A 44-year-old Nigerian citizen was arrested for allegedly assaulting police officers who were trying to recover drugs from a cafe in Chikka Banaswadi on Saturday May 21.
Elvis Kayine, a Nigerian national who ran a cafe in the City, has been identified as the accused. Based on information about drugs being sold at his cafe, a team from the Siddapura Police Station raided his cafe. The cops found 12 gm of MDMA on the premises.
Elvis allegedly assaulted police officers with a liquor bottle, injuring three officers, informed police. One of the men who helped the cops recorded the entire incident. He is presently being questioned to ascertain the source of drugs.
