Bengaluru: Various organisations are opposing the popular bull scaring events in the name of animal rights. But every year, tens of people die or sustains injuries at the time of these kinds of events. In one such events held at Krishnapura village in Haveri taluk, a 16-year-old boy died after being attacked by a charging bull.
According to the police, deceased has been identified as Manjunath Bharamannanavra (16). The event was organised on January 20 at Krishnapura village where the mishap occurred. Manjunath Bharamannanavar was enjoying the bull charging with his family members, when the charged bull jumped on Manjunath and gored him on his chest and stomach.
“The boy was rushed to the KIMS, Hubbali for treatment, but he succumbed to injuries on Tuesday evening,” informed local police.
“We have registered a case against eight members of the organising committee,” informed police.
