CCB busts “girlfriend swapping” racket in Bengaluru; two arrested
The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has apprehended two individuals, Harish and Hemant, accused of orchestrating an illicit “girlfriend swapping” racket disguised as private parties in Bengaluru. The scheme, allegedly dubbed “swingers,” targeted couples, coercing them into exchanging partners for sexual activities and exploiting women through threats and blackmail.
The operation came to light when a woman bravely filed a complaint with the CCB. She revealed being coerced into the racket and forced to engage in intimate relationships with the accused and their associates. When she resisted, they allegedly threatened to release her private photographs, leaving her no choice but to comply.
The arrests mark a significant breakthrough in addressing crimes exploiting women under the pretense of consensual activities. Authorities are now investigating the extent of the racket and the involvement of others.
The CCB has urged potential victims or anyone with information about similar activities to come forward, assuring strict action against those responsible.
