Bengaluru: A BJP MLA, on November 23, filed a complaint with the police after an obscene video, alleged to be his, was recently released.
The legislator, in his complaint, told the police that he was being ‘honey trapped’.
Based on his complaint, the CCB police nabbed the two accused in the case, Raghavendra and the woman (name not released) seen in the video. They have arrested four others who were associated with the duo.
According to sources in the police department, Raghavendra has been using his own girlfriend to trap legislators and top personalities in order to blackmail them and extort money.
The police have confiscated a pen drive containing the obscene videos and are interrogating the duo.
The interim investigation reports states that the duo had made ‘honey trapping’ a business. So far, they have blackmailed five legislators and other businessmen.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that Raghavendra, after building a good rapport with MLAs across political parties, would send images of girls and trap the target after they begin to have ‘intimate’ moments.
