Parameshwara said  that it is the duty of the Centre to help probe agencies  within the legal framework by revoking the diplomatic passport.

Speaking to reporters, he said, “the chief minister wrote to the prime minister requesting the cancellation of Prajwal Revanna’s diplomatic passport, but so far we have not received any response. With the court issuing an arrest warrant, the SIT has formally notified the Centre. It is now the Central government’s responsibility to revoke the passport, he said.

It is not about Prajwal Revanna or his father HD Revanna, protecting law is the vital thing. The central government must support us, he said and added that protecting the law is the duty of the central government, he said.

The 33-year-old MP from Hassan who is seeking reelection from the same seat as an NDA candidate reportedly left for Germany on April 27, the day after Hassan went for polling and since then the MP is absconding.

Interpol has issued a ‘Blue Corner Notice’ seeking information on his whereabouts at the behest of the SIT via the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). A Special Court for Elected Representatives issued an arrest warrant against Prajwal on Saturday, following an application by the SIT.
