Chikkaballapura: Former Prime Minister H. D. Deve Gowda said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has realised that the BJP’s strength in Karnataka has weakened and hence he is holding a roadshow in Karnataka to win people back.
Seeking votes in favour of JD (S) candidate B. N. Ravikumar in the City, He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has realised that he has lost his strength in Karnataka and even though the Lok Sabha elections are not being held in Karnataka, the Prime Minister participating in campaign. This will show what position the party has come to because the people of Karnataka are intelligent and they cannot be convinced,” he said.
“An unconditional coalition Government with the Congress party was formed under the leadership of Kumaraswamy in order to form a secular Government in Karnataka, but some Congress leaders have been running a conspiracy from the beginning to topple the coalition Government and finally 18 people were sent to Mumbai to topple the Government, he recalled.
“Some Congressmen did not want a secular Government to come to power in Karnataka, so they brought down the coalition Government,” he alleged.
