Chitradurga: During the tenure of the coalition government, permission has been granted to a Chilume institute to collect voter data. BJP Leader and MLC N. Ravikumar said that the BJP Government has cancelled the permission in the wake of allegations of theft of voter data.

Speaking to mediapersons here, he said that permission was granted during the tenure of the Congress – JD (S) coalition government on December 22, 2018. Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President D. K. Shivakumar, who are demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and Higher Education Minister Ashwath Narayan, will they resign now? he questioned.

“Lodge a complaint against the company and cancel those who have voter ID cards at two or three places in thousands of booths in the country. On Saturday November 19, a BJP delegation will go to the Election Commission to press for linking everything with Aadhaar card and holding elections on the basis of it. The Congress is not willing to delete the double entries keeping an eye on the minority vote bank. We will appeal to the Election Commission in this regard,” he said.
