Kolar: The death of cattles and calves at a Government Gaushala has triggered a public displeasure against the officials of the concerned department. Politicians and leaders have expressed anger against the Animal Husbandry Department officials over the death of cattles and calves in the Government Gaushala, which has started at Guttahalli (Bangaru Tirupati) near the Village, due to lack of proper maintenance.
There were 27 cattles in the beginning. The cows offered by the devotees to the Bangaru Tirupati Temple were reared in this gaushala. However, more than 15 cattles and calves were found dead at the gaushala due to lack of proper maintenance by the authorities and management.
The dogs were seen eating the dead cattles and calves as they were not buried properly. As a result of the local farmers informing Kochimal Director Jayasimha Krishnappa, the officials were reprimanded over the phone and inisisted that the guilty should be punished, immediately.
