Chitradurga: A post office employee resorted to suicide at T. Nalenur in Holalakere Taluk of the District.
The deceased woman has been identified as Rajeshwari, a post office employee and a resident of Arehalli. It is said that she resorted to suicide after being harassed by her husband Vijayakumar.
Rajeshwari had taken a loan of Rs. 12 lakh due to her husband’s bad habits. He demanded that even if she had paid off the loan with the salary she had received, she should have to borrow more money or else would have to die.
The police has registered a case against her husband.
Vijayakumar and Rajeshwari of Chikkakanawangala Village in Ajjampura Taluk got married 22 years ago.
