Bengaluru: The opposition BJP in Karnataka has strongly criticized the Congress government, particularly Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Housing Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan, for flaunting luxury lifestyles after a video went viral showing them inside a private jet.
video sparked controversy, with the ministers seen walking inside the jet accompanied by a background song with lyrics glorifying their status.
Karnataka BJP President B Y Vijayendra condemned the government’s actions, highlighting the severe drought conditions and farmers’ crisis in the state.“By the way, they were traveling in this luxurious aircraft to seek funds for drought relief works! What a crude mockery of our distress! Splurging the Tax payers money comes so easy for @INCIndia ministers!” Vijayendra asked in his recent X post.

The ministers were reportedly traveling in the luxurious aircraft to seek funds for drought relief, a move criticized as a crude mockery of the state’s distress.
When asked about Vijayendra’s tweet about the luxury jet incident, Siddaramaiah said, “How does Narendra Modi travel? You tell me first. Please ask this question to the BJP people – which plane does Narendra Modi travel in? He travels alone. Why does he travel alone? BJP leaders will keep saying something silly.”
