Bengaluru: Confusion prevails across the state following rumours of a state-wide bundh call.

It all started when a few social media posts claimed that there will be a nation-wide is bundh today in connection with the protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019. With the news channels not airing any verification of the bundh, the general public is confused.

The police, however, have made it clear that there is no bandh today. Only prohibitory orders have been issued.

According to the education department authorities, they are not aware of any bundh call by any organisation. Classes will be conducted as usual.

Primary and Secondary Education minister S Suresh Kumar also announced that there is no holiday for schools or colleges today.
