Bengaluru: At a time when the Congress High Command is failing to take any big bang reforms, the party state unit is showing the way forward. In a big bang reforms proposal, the party state unit has decided to give 50 per cent of the seats (112) in the next Assembly election to those who are below 50 years.
The idea is to strengthen the party with more youth who are dynamic and have influence over the young voters.
A decision in this regard was taken in the State Chintan Shivir which concluded on the evening of June 3. The party state unit has decided to send the proposal in this regard to the AICC for approval.
Another important decision taken in the meeting was mass leadership for the 2023 election. This means no leader will be highlighted as the CM candidate and all must work together for the cause of the party.
