Bengaluru: The Congress party has decided to move a no-confidence motion against the BJP-ruled state government.
The Opposition party will move the motion in the ongoing Assembly session itself.
A decision in this regard was taken at the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) meeting held today.
A proposal in this regard was submitted by CLP leader Siddaramaiah and supported by all the legislators.
“The state government has become corrupt. B Y Vijayendra is running the show. We will express our dissent against the government in this way,” said Siddaramaiah during the meeting.
However, as the JD(S) will not be supporting this motion, there is no real threat to the Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa-led government from this no-confidence motion.
