Bengaluru: In a tragic incident, a couple from Bevinahalli in Gauribidanur taluk of the Chikkaballapura district committed suicide by hanging to a tree as their daughter who was engaged recently went missing.
Choudappa (43) and his wife Suvarnamma (37) is the deceased couple. The incident is reported from the Manchenahalli police limits.
According to the police, villagers informed that the couple was depressed after their daughter who was engaged recently went missing a few days ago. “Feeling humiliated, they may have committed suicide. The bodies have been sent to the Gauribidanur hospital for the postmortem,” informed the police.
