Covid advisory panel asks Karnataka to impose stringent restrictions

Bengaluru: Amid the second wave of deadly Corona Virus Disease, Tech city recorded 1.5 lakh active coronavirus cases, the Karnataka Task Advisory Committee on Covid- 19 has asked the state government to impose stringent restrictions, including lockdown for 14 days to break the chain.

The members of the panel recommended to the state government to increase the number of beds to effectively handle the crisis.

TAC members also expect the third wave of Covid to arrive in October-November and have demanded that the government finish immunizing vulnerable age groups before the next wave arrives.
