Bengaluru: During the high voltage Mandya Lok Sabha election campaign of independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh, we had seen some of the crazy fans honouring her with over 500 kg of apple garland and showering tons of flower petals on her and her star campaigners, Sandalwood actors Darshan and Yash. We had also seen some going to the extreme extent of climbing the canvassing van and kissing Darshan on his cheeks. But, here is a fan who has reserved all of his back for Darshan, by tattooing his portrait.

Karthik, a resident of Karenahalli village, Bidadi town is the Darshan’s crazy fan who got himself a back tattoo.

The tattoo measures 30 cm in height and 16 cm in width, with a portray of Darshan in the avatar of ‘Sangoli Rayanna’, chief of the Kingdom of Kittur under the rule of Kittur Rani Chennamma. Darshan had played the title role of Sangoli Rayanna in a Kannada movie released in the year 2012.

Below his portray, it is written “D BOSS”, the name by which Darshan is fondly called by his fans.

The tattoo was drawn by tattoo artist Madhu, which took him around seven hours.

Karthik, has tattooed Darshan on his back as a sign of gratitude for standing as pillar of support to Sumalatha throughout her LS election campaign.
