Bengaluru: It was an emotional scene at the Tughlaq Road police station in New Delhi on Sunday night. For the first time after he was arrested in the money laundering case, family members of Congress leader DK Shivakumar met him. DKShi is now in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Sources said that DKShi became emotional and hugged his family members once they entered the visitors’ area.
It is said that DKShi wife Usha had brought Raagi Mudde (finger millet ball) and chicken curry for him as he loves the delicacy. The family members stayed with DKShi for over one and a half hours.
Meanwhile, the ED will produce DKShi to the CBI special court today. DKShi’s family members are likely to move to the trial court for a regular bail to secure his release.
