Bengaluru: Congress leader DK Shivakumar has warned the state government of an intense protest if the medical college granted for Kanakapura, his home constituency is relocated elsewhere by the government.
In a letter to the CM, written in English, he stated that it is unethical to relocate the medical college sanctioned to his constituency to Chikkaballapura, the home constituency of the disqualified MLA Dr Sudhakar.
“I will not allow this to happen. Let the government sanction a new medical college for Chikkaballapura. I don’t have any issues,” he stated in the letter.”If the state government doesn’t reconsider its decision, I will start agitation in my own style,” he stated.
He also urged the CM to visit Kanakapura and perform ground breaking ceremony for the new medical college building.
