Bengaluru: The inauspicious Rahukala is scary for all and it is said that CM HD Kumaraswamy and his brother HD Revanna are staunch believers that no good work must be kick started during this inauspicious time.
However, the BMTC is now left in a state of shock following a reply from one of its drivers who missed the bus schedule.
On September 1, Yogesh Gowda, a BMTC driver attached to the BMTC bus depot 33 started his scheduled trip at 7.35 am instead of 6.15 am. The BMTC authorities issued a notice to him for the delay and gave him 30 days time to reply. Now after receiving his written reply, the BMTC authorities are stunned and feeling helpless.
In his reply, Gowda justified the delay by stating that on August 31 he had met an astrologer and the astrologer warned him that if he starts his first trip at 6.15 am, the bus may meet with an accident in which 15 passengers may die.
“He advised me to start the trip only after the Rahukala. So I started the trip at 7.35 am,” he replied.
The reply has become a major headache to the BMTC because the driver has cited examples of the CM and his brother PWD Minister Revanna.
Gowda has reportedly mentioned in his letter that the CM and Revanna too delay works owing to Rahukala and if a disciplinary action is initiated against him, then he will drag everyone to the court.
