Bengaluru: With the polling day around the corner, the BBMP has suddenly changed the menu of the popular Indira Canteens. According to sources, the BBMP has directed the Indira Canteen management to change the menu and introduce more popular snacks and cuisine. But the BBMP authorities are tightlipped about these changes.
Sources say that the BBMP directed the Indira canteen management to introduce sambar along with idli in the morning. Bisibelebath with boondi has been added and khara bath will be available twice a day. For all these months, khara bath was served only once a week.
The lunch menu has also been changed. Vegetable sambar will now be mixed with various grains, including daal. The same will be continued for dinner as well.
However, it is not clear if these menu changes will continue after the elections.
