Mandya: Congress leader and former minister N Cheluvaraya Swamy has made it clear that he is not supporting independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh in the Mandya Lok Sabha constituency. He also made it clear that he is not a person to back-stab and that he is yet to decide on his vote.
Speaking to reporters at his residence in Nagamangala, he stated that he will not campaign for Sumalatha. “But the Congress activists’ decision has nothing to do with me. They are free to campaign for anyone,” he stated.
“I have not decided about my own vote,” he said.
Hitting out at the Chief Minister, Cheluvaraya Swamy said, “It was CM H D Kumaraswamy who indulged in revenge politics. We worked for L R Shivaramegowda in the Mandya Lok Sabha by-elections held in October-November 2018. But he didn’t even bother to talk to us. I know that he will not come near us,” he said.
“District in-charge minister C S Puttaraju insulted me and Narendra Swamy during the final rites of CRPF soldier Guru,” he alleged.
