Encroachment: Over 5L Govt land recovered in B’luru

Bengaluru: Encroachment of government land, including lakes and ‘gomala’ land, was removed by the Bengaluru Urban Administration.

Officials recovered 3 acres 21.08 guntas of land worth crores of rupees in Anekal Taluk under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner J. Manjunath.

According to sources, officials recovered 2 acres and 3 guntas land in Bengaluru South and Yelahanka.

Over an acre of ‘gomala’ in Hongasandra village of Begur taluk, valued at over Rs. 5 Crore, was included in the land in Anekal Taluk.

Officials in Hulimavu were able to recover 20 guntas of land worth over Rs. 10 Crore. Among the other land parcels were 13 guntas in Jigani hobli’s Rajapura, three guntas in Byagadadevanahalli, three guntas of SWD in Avadadevanahalli, and three guntas in Hullahalli.
