Bengaluru: Skilled workers from Karnataka are gaining increasing traction among major European employers, with top automakers and logistics firms seeking specialised manpower from the state.

During meetings with a visiting Karnataka delegation — Skill Development Minister Sharan Prakash Patil and Higher Education Minister M.C. Sudhakar — several Slovakian companies highlighted emerging job opportunities for Indian talent in their country.

As part of a Europe roadshow ahead of the 2026 Bangalore International Job Fair, the ministers visited the Stellantis production facility in Trnava, where they reviewed welfare measures provided to Karnataka workers currently employed there.

At present, Stellantis hosts nearly 50 heavy-vehicle drivers and 100 assembly-line operators, all trained by the Karnataka Vocational Training and Skill Development Corporation (KVTSDC).
