EVM malfunction: EC announces re-election for Lottegollahalli

Bengaluru: Faulty Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) played spoilsport at the Lottegollahalli polling station in Hebbal Constituency on May 12. The Election Commission has announced re-election in the polling booth.

Electorate could not vote since morning as the EVMs installed at booth number 2 polling station 158 at Lottegollahalli malfunctioned. The officials could not repair the machines until afternoon.

Considering the circumstances, the Chief Electoral Officer has announced re-election for this booth to ensure fair election. He said that the exact date for the re-election will be announced soon.
