Bengaluru: In an unprecedented move, film producer Kanakapura Shrinivas held a dharna in front of the office of “The Villain” and “Jogi” director Prem, alleging that he was duped of Rs 10 lakhs. Shrinivas sat till late at night on a boulder in front of Prem’s office in Gandhinagar.
Kanakapura Shrinivas, who produced various movies including “Dana Kayonu”, said that after the release of “Jogi”, he had given Rs 10 lakh as advance to Prem to direct a movie for him. But, he neither directed the movie nor returned the advance. “I had approached the film chamber one-and-half-years ago. But there has been no result,” he alleged.
“Today, because of directors like Prem, I am forced to travel in an auto while he travels in an imported car,” he lamented.
