FIRE expected to change women artists’ life in Sandalwood

Bengaluru: Disparity in payment structure, exploitation, poor working conditions, cheating are few common problems faced by the women artists in Kannada film industry. In the absence of dedicated organisations, all these years, artists were not able to raise their voice. Even if few actress were able to raise the voice, they were silenced by either denying opportunities or threat. But for the first time, woman artists of Sandalwood have joined hands together to form an organisation and the force behind this organisation is a Hero.

Chetan of Aa Dinagalu fame is known for his active participation in various social agitations. This time he has formed an organisation to protect the rights of women actress in Kannada film industry. This organisation has been named as FIRE – Film Industry Rights and Equality.

What has made this novel initiative more interesting is Priyanka Upendra has joined hands with Chetan. This organisation is expected to set a new trend in all languages film industry.
