The Ashok Nagar police arrested five men, including a Senegalese national, in two separate cases for possessing methamphetamine. The police seized a total of 69 grams of the drug. On Sunday, based on a tip-off, the police observed three men acting suspiciously in the locality. Upon inspection, they found 59 grams of methamphetamine in their possession, along with Rs 32,000 in cash. The arrested individuals were identified as S Sunil alias Jayaprakash, 30, from Bengaluru, Victor Wade, 31, from Senegal, and Pushpendra Singh, 24, from Rajasthan.
Two other individuals, Naim-il-Haq, 31, from Bengaluru, and J Nirmal Prince, 35, from Coimbatore, were arrested by the police on Friday after 10 grams of methamphetamine were recovered from them. After further investigation, all five suspects were sent for judicial remand.
