Bengaluru: The Lok Sabha seat-sharing exercise between ruling JDS and Congress alliance in the state is becoming complex with both the JDS and the Congress failing to arrive at a consensus on Mysuru Lok Sabha constituency.

If sources in the Congress are to be believed, former CM Siddaramaiah has proposed a friendly-fight stating if Mysuru is left to the JDS then the BJP candidate will have a cakewalk.

According to the sources in both the JDS and the Congress houses, Mysuru, Chikkaballapura, and Tumakuru are the three constituencies, which created a bone of contention between both the parties. “The JDS is not ready to leave these three constituencies while the Congress is keen to retain Mysuru, home turf of former CM Siddaramaiah,” said sources.

“Chikkaballapura MP Veerappa M Moily will be able to prevail over JDS leadership by using his strong bond with the Gandhi family. The Congress is able to convince the JDS in this regard, but Tumakuru and Mysuru are still the problematic constituencies,” said sources.
