Bengaluru: Finally, former CM, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Siddaramaiah had broken his silence on the ongoing controversy surrounding PWD minister HD Revanna’s statement against actress Sumalatha, who has decided to embark on political journey after the demise of her husband Rebel Star MH Ambareesh, who was the state and union minister.
“Whatever Revanna told is of bad taste,” Siddaramaiah said.
Speaking to the reporters in New Delhi, he expressed confidence of winning over 22 seats from the state in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
He also declined to comment on JDS decision to field Nikhil and Prajwal from the Mandya and the Hassan Lok Sabha constituencies respectively. “Our task is over once the seats are allocated to the JDS. Let them field whoever they feel suitable,” he said.
He also stated that Karnataka voters are known for secular and democratic credentials. “Modi is a dictator. So people of Karnataka will not support him,” he said.
