Bengaluru: Fr Anil Crasta met Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker UT Khader at his residence in Bengaluru to seek support for the Manasadhara Day Care Centre for the Mentally Ill at Mother Theresa Hospital.
The meeting focused on garnering assistance for the centre’s initiatives, which provide essential care, rehabilitation, and social reintegration opportunities for individuals battling mental illness.
Fr Crasta highlighted the need for sustained backing to enhance facilities, expand outreach, and ensure continuous care for patients. He expressed optimism that the Speaker’s involvement would help bring greater attention to mental health issues in the state.
The Manasadhara Day Care Centre has been actively working to support patients through therapy, skill-building programmes, and counselling, aiming to help them lead dignified and independent lives.
