Bengaluru: The JP Nagar police department has initiated a manhunt for a gang that rented a house in a building for two months to loot a jewellery store in the area.

According to sources, the crime happened on the night of Sunday April 17. The gang looted 5 kg of gold worth Rs 2.5 Crore.

The two unidentified accused rented a house on the third floor of the building where the jewellery shop was located by submitting fake Aadhaar card details to the owner of the house with a Delhi address.

They kept an eye on the jewellery shop for two months, observing the proprietor’s and staff’s movements. On April 17, they finally carried out their plan and looted the shop.
