Bengaluru: Governor Vajubhai Vala, who underwent a heart bypass surgery on November 26, reportedly changed three cars before reaching Fortis Hospital (South) which is said to be 10 km from Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru.
Based on his angiogram reports, doctors recommended that the Governor undergo coronary heart surgery, during his checkup in the first week of November.
On Tuesday, November 26, the Governor left Raj Bhavan in his official convoy and halted near an apartment for some time. From there, he travelled a small distance in a private car and asked his officials to take the official car back to his residence. Yet again, he is said to have halted at a house and changed another car before reaching Fortis Hospital (South) at Bannerghatta Road.
Sources said that this was done to avoid any media interference in the matter as it would lead to several politicians crowding the hospital.
It can be recalled that Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa had visited Fortis Hospital (South) and assessed Governor Vala’s health situation while wishing him a speedy recovery.
